July 2009 - Dr. Robert Rubin of BodyLogicMD of Tampa and Naples discusses andropause, the male form of menopause. Unlike menopause, andropause has a more subtle onset and can start as early as when a man is in his 30s to as late as his 60s. It has overlapping symptoms to menopause, such as hot flashes, night sweats, and low libido. However, most of the symptoms are not as extreme as they are with women going through menopause. Dr. Rubin suggests that you should get your testosterone first tested when you are 30 so you can keep track of it as you age. Low levels of testosterone can lead to a high risk of osteoporosis, heart disease, and increased body fat.

June 2009 - After Oprah featured several shows on bioidentical hormone therapy and mentioned BodyLogicMD on a list of ten companies nationwide, there was a 450 percent increase in phone calls requesting information and a 400 percent increase in patients nationwide. July 2008 - Dr. Steve Center of the Scripps Memorial Hospital has discussed the idea that bioidentical hormone therapy given to women in their late 30s to early 40s may prevent the need for a hysterectomy. In women, progesterone levels start to drop ten years prior to menopause. Estrogen then becomes the dominant hormone, which can lead to the development of abnormalities in the uterus.

July 2008 - Adrenal fatigue is a conditioned caused by the overworking of the adrenal glands. When feeling stressed, cortisol is triggered and put into the blood by the adrenal glands. Symptoms of adrenal fatigue include acne, depression, insomnia, and weight gain.
